Carmina Burana
Contemporary dance performance on music by Karl Orff
This show is a contemporary dance piece written exclusively for the Arena di Verona corps de ballet on the famous Karl Orff's Carmina Burana music.
The choreography develops the themes of frailty and human force as two conflicting impulses in a single human being. The gesture, deprived of any aesthetic meaning, is an expression of a dialectic between the momentum towards a clear and precise objective, and the fragile surrender of the body that makes room to a an intangible, dilated, hidden and fragile universe.
The goal of my dance starts from the search of a state of the body "alert" and "active" but "vulnerable" able to touch the ephemeral of our life.
